How MUM began:
Shakera Rodgers, the founder of MUM, wants to inspire people to feel amazing in their own bodies and challenge the narrow standards of beauty. MUM focuses on individuals who have traditionally been marginalized and often face problems of limited representation and unrealistic expectations when it comes to their bodies.
Driven by a desire to make a meaningful difference in people's lives, Shakera is a role model who aims to inspire individuals of all ages and body types, including young single mothers. Her goal is for her clients to embrace their uniqueness and feel confident in their own skin through promoting bawdy positivity, encouraging self-care and self-love, and setting an example of a healthy/active lifestyle.
Shakera’s passion to motivate and encourage women led her to start her own business, as she saw it was an opportunity to turn her ideas into reality and contribute to society as a leader. With MUM, she is able to pursue her passions, take control of her life, and leave a positive mark on the world.
